Attorney At Law

Alan Kolodny

Alan Kolodny is committed to representing injured clients in Texas and throughout the United States. Alan earned his B.A. from Rice University and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University.

He focuses his practice on representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases involving the following matters: maritime and offshore accidents, including those under the Jones Act; automobile and 18-wheeler truck accidents; and industrial site accidents, work-related accidents, and claims for injured railroad workers under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act.

He is known for his attention to detail, his strong research skills in examining victims’ cases, and his effective depositions. When a settlement cannot be reached, Mr. Kolodny will not hesitate to take his clients’ cases to trial.

In 2014, and through 2022, Alan was designated a “Rising Star”, a Thomson Reuters Service printed in Texas Monthly. This is a designation that only 2.5% of Texas attorneys are chosen for in any given year. Alan is licensed by the Texas Supreme Court to practice before Texas state Courts and is admitted to the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas Federal Courts of the United States. He is also a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Brazoria County Bar Association, and the Maritime Law Association of the United States.

In 2023, Alan was selected as a Super Lawyer. The Super Lawyers patented selection process is peer influenced and research driven, selecting the top 5% of attorneys to the Super Lawyers lists each year.

Also, in the rare time Alan is not working hard for his clients, he enjoys cruising and fishing on his family’s classic sport fishing boat out of Freeport in Brazoria County, Texas.
